Product Care & Maintenance Guide

• ✓Carefully unpack and inspect the product for transport damage
• ✓Confirm that every component is present
• ✓Assemble according to the Installation Guide where applicable
• ✓Remove packaging, labels and protective films
• ✓Place the fire pit on a stable, level and non-combustible surface

Inappropriate fuels may damage the product and create hazardous conditions.

• ✓Use dry seasoned hardwood or kiln-dried firewood
• ✓Use natural charcoal only where compatible with your model
• ✓Do not use painted or treated wood, MDF or plywood
• ✓Do not burn plastic, household waste or rubber
• ✓Do not use coal unless specifically permitted
• ✓Never use petrol, diesel, kerosene or unsuitable accelerants

Do not overload the fire pit. Allow sufficient airflow for efficient combustion.

• ✓Place a small amount of kindling in the centre of the fire bowl
• ✓Add small pieces of dry wood
• ✓Use a long match or suitable fire lighter
• ✓Add larger firewood gradually once the fire is established

Follow these precautions whenever the fire pit is in use.

• ✓Never leave the fire unattended
• ✓Keep children and pets at a safe distance
• ✓Do not touch hot metal surfaces
• ✓Do not move the fire pit while hot
• ✓Use heat-resistant gloves when adjusting accessories
• ✓Keep combustible materials well away from the fire

Allow the fire pit to cool completely before maintenance.

Never pour water directly onto hot steel unless required in an emergency. Rapid cooling can cause thermal stress and affect the finish.

Clean only after the product is completely cool. Abrasive or aggressive cleaners can damage the finish or protective surface.

• ✓Remove ash with a suitable shovel or scoop
• ✓Wipe loose debris from the fire bowl
• ✓Brush soot away using a soft brush
• ✓Clean surfaces with a soft cloth
• ✓Do not use abrasive pads, steel wool, harsh chemicals, chlorine or acidic cleaners

Remove ash regularly because it can retain moisture, accelerate corrosion, restrict airflow and reduce combustion efficiency.

Ensure ash is completely cold before disposal and follow local disposal regulations.

Clean cooking accessories after every use. Do not place components in a dishwasher unless the product documentation specifically permits it.

• ✓Dry thoroughly before storage
• ✓Where appropriate, lightly coat cast-iron components with food-safe oil

MiFIRE products are designed for outdoor use, but prolonged harsh weather can affect their appearance.

• ✓Use a weatherproof cover where possible
• ✓Keep the product dry when not in use
• ✓Remove standing water after heavy rain
• ✓Avoid prolonged contact with snow or ice

Outdoor steel naturally changes over time. The characteristics below do not affect safe operation.

• ✓Colour variations and heat marks
• ✓Smoke staining and natural weathering
• ✓Minor surface rust where applicable
• ✓Protective patina on weathering steel
• ✓Slight texture changes caused by repeated heating

Inspect the fire pit at least twice each year and address issues promptly to maintain safe operation.

• ✓Loose components
• ✓Signs of corrosion
• ✓Excessive ash accumulation
• ✓Blocked drainage holes
• ✓Surface damage
• ✓Ground stability

Regular inspection during storage is recommended.

• ✓Clean thoroughly and remove all ash
• ✓Dry the product completely
• ✓Use a suitable weatherproof cover
• ✓Store accessories indoors where possible
• ✓Place the fire pit in a dry, sheltered location where practical

Some surface oxidation can occur naturally. Corten or weathering steel intentionally develops a protective rust-like patina and does not require treatment.

• ✓Remove wet ash promptly
• ✓Keep drainage holes unobstructed
• ✓Avoid prolonged standing water
• ✓Store under cover when not in use

Heat and ash can discolour nearby materials.

• ✓Use a stable, heat-resistant base
• ✓Maintain clearance from buildings, fences and vegetation
• ✓Do not place directly on wooden decking without suitable protection

Routine cleaning and safe operation help maintain both appearance and performance.

Do not attempt structural repairs yourself. Contact our team if you observe any of the issues below.

Regular maintenance supports safe operation but does not replace responsible use.
